The R1FAN Memorial Ridout  is an annual event created by myself Paul Stevens in honour and memory of my father Pete Stevens aka R1 FAN.  He was a very well known face and much loved character within the biking community, who was well known for his big smile and even bigger heart, and his unique registration plate on his bike,  R1 FAN!
Unfortunately,  despite being the biggest kid in the park and being very young at heart,  he sadly lost his long battle with Leukaemia at the age of 55 in 2011. These rideouts are a fitting way of bringing the biking community  together,  as well as remembering a great man and raising money for others suffering with their own Cancers,  on this occasion proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research.
The principal of the "rideout"  is that people who wish to take part and ride with us will be asked to meet us at the Ace Cafe (Ace Corner, N Circular Rd, London, Stonebridge NW10 7UD) on 04/08/2013 to leave for 10am on the day,  and to make a £5 donation.  For that you will receive an "R1 FAN" souvenir sticker for your bike,  which will let you take part.
Although this ride out takes place each year,  this one is extra special as it is to coincide with our friends at Londonmoto's open day, and as my Father considered Eddie of Londonmoto to be a second son,  it's an even more appropriate way of celebrating.
Thank you for taking the time to read this,  and thank you in advance for your support and participation to those who come.
Paul Stevens
